STAGE COMBAT WORKSHOP

In this class, you will learn to perform techniques and maneuvers found in basic “fight” choreography recognized by the SAFD (Society of American Fight Directors). Each class will emphasize development of your personal command of your body in relation to theatrical physical conflict while encouraging the artistic exploration of the actor’s characterization as well. Special attention will be paid to accuracy, safety, and the fundamental techniques needed to protect you as an actor when engaged in dramatic physical encounters.

NOTE: Students must wear closed toe shoes and clothing that easily allows for full range of movement. Hair should be up and back off the face. Bring a water bottle.

AGES: 10 – 18

WHEN: 9:00 a.m. – 10:30 a.m.; Saturdays, September 24 – October 15

TUITION: $120.00

Restrictions

ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP POLICY:

All Participants must be current members of CTA ($10 for an Individual Student or $20 for 2 or more Students within the same family). Valid from July 1st through June 30th annually.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

Minimum of 3 weeks prior to class: Full refund minus the membership fee.
2 weeks prior to class: Refund minus $75 registration fee and membership fee.
First day of class or later: No refund.
