The mischievous Cat in the Hat joins a cast of everyone's favorite Dr. Seuss characters, including Horton the Elephant, Gertrude McFuzz, Mayzie La Bird, the Whos of Whoville and the Grinch in this whimsical production of Seussical. Now one of the most-performed shows in America, Seussical is a fantastical, magical, musical extravaganza that links together some of literature's most beloved children's creations. Each charming story is backed by a myriad of musical styles, from Latin to pop, swing to gospel, and R&B to funk. Dr. Seuss' trademark sense of fun and wonder comes through loud and clear, making this a musical that appeals to all ages. Bring the whole family and join the fun!
SYNOPSIS: The Cat in the Hat tells the story of Horton, an elephant who discovers a speck of dust that contains the Whos, including Jojo, a Who child sent off to military school for thinking too many "thinks." Horton faces a double challenge: not only must he protect the Whos from a world of naysayers and dangers, but he must guard an abandoned egg, left in his care by the irresponsible Mayzie La Bird. Although Horton faces ridicule, danger, kidnapping and a trial, the intrepid Gertrude McFuzz never loses faith in him. Ultimately, the powers of friendship, loyalty, family and community are challenged and emerge triumphant.

Join us for a pre-show seusstacular ice cream party! The Seuss characters we've all grown to love will be on hand to meet all who attend. Tickets include light fair including cupcakes, drinks, seussational ice cream sundaes (featuring the delicious ice cream from Annapolis Ice Cream Company); a meet & greet plus story time with some of our Seussical characters; take home keepsakes and priority theatre seating (general admission ticket included). You will have a great opportunity to take a selfie with your favorite character so you can show everyone on your social media what an amazing time you had!
