RISING STARS (ages 5-7)

A Musical Theatre Production Workshop featuing...Character Matters Too!

Welcome to the weekly meeting of the Fairy Tale Advice Council! Led by Rapunzel, a Handsome Prince, and a (recovering) Wicked Witch, the council offers help in character-building to famous folk creatures. Humpty Dumpty learns to be responsible, Magic Mirrors determine that it's better to be honest, Jack & the Giant discover it's best not to judge a book by its cover, and the Princess & the Frog realize it's best to be kind.

Students will work on singing, movement, and acting as they rehearse for their big performance! Parents will need to record their student singing their songs and submit the videos for editing purposes so that we can compile them for an online pre-recorded performance.

Your tuition includes:

  • Direction / instruction from a highly qualified artistic team
  • Production elements (script, access to digital recording or rehearsal tracks)
  • Character Development Worksheet
  • Character Design Challenge (Students design hair & a costume on a worksheet for their character.)
  • Show Poster Design Challenge
  • Online pre-recorded performance shared on CTA's YouTube channel

Through theatre production workshops students gain experience and knowledge in acting, characterization, movement, and much more. This workshop concludes with a final pre-recorded online performance. In production workshops, teamwork is a major focus and all participants are guaranteed a role. We encourage students with all levels of experience to attend.
