PASSPORT TO BROADWAY

Join us as we sing & dance our way through a palace in Siam, the jungles of India, and the desert plains of Africa. Our “Passport to Broadway” students will have fun learning songs, movement, & work on craft projects inspired by an international collection of Broadway’s musical theatre. We’ve got an agenda of fun scheduled for everyone!

 

Students must dress appropriately for movement. Shoes should be either dance shoes or sneakers secured with laces or velcro.  No open-toe shoes, flip-flops, sandals, or crocs. Bring a water bottle.

 

AGES: 5 - 7 (Level: Beginner)

WHEN: 4:30 - 6:00 p.m.; Tuesdays, April 14 - May 19, 2020 (PERFORMANCE: 5:30 p.m.; May 19, 2020)

TUITION: $150.00

INSTRUCTOR: Jason Kimmell has been on stage & behind the scenes since he was 3. During his younger years he performed in a soap opera, television commercials, community theatres, dinner theatres, The Kennedy Center (Willie Stark, Grand Houston Opera, and MEDEA), and the Cort Theatre on Broadway (MEDEA with Zoe Caldwell, Dame Judith Anderson, Robert Whiehead, & Hal Prince). He's taught theatre & dance classes at a multitude of companies throughout central Maryland including: K-2 Dance, CTA, Musical Artists Theatre, Drama Learning Center, Adventure Theatre, Childrens Guild. Mr. Jason has also directed & choreographed a plethora of productions (mostly involving children/teens) for over 20 years. Artistic Staff credits include: Children's Theatre of Annapolis, Annapolis Summer Garden Theatre, Musical Artists Theatre, Chesapeake Arts Center, Pasadena Theatre Company, Catonsville Dinner Theatre, Prince George's Summer Teen Theatre, Merely Players.

ANNUAL REGISTRATION POLICY: All participants must pay an annual registration fee ($20 for one or more students within the same family) to participate in a workshop/camp. Valid from July 1st through June 30th annually.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

  • Minimum of 3 weeks prior to class: Full refund minus the membership fee.
  • 2 weeks prior to class: Refund minus $75 administrative fee + $20 Annual Registration Fee.
  • First day of class or later: No refund.
