ACTING WORKSHOP (ages 12-18)

This is a continuation from our previous online acting class where students studied character development & monologues. Students are not required to have attended the previous class in order to register for this one.

 

In this online scene study class students will learn actor's warm-ups, work on character development in context of script text analysis & receive coaching on those scenes. Classes will be held via Zoom. Once you register you will be sent a link so that you may join by computer, laptop, tablet, or smart phone & participate. Any required materials, such as the monologues, will be emailed to students.

 

AGES: 12-18

LEVEL: Beginner-Intermediate

WHEN: 4:00-5:00 p.m.; Fridays, May 8, 15, and 22, 2020

TUITION: $20.00 (Annual Registration Fee waived.)

TEACHING ARTIST: Gerrad Alex Taylor is a DC/MD/VA based actor, director, and voice and speech coach. He received his BA in Neuroscience from The Johns Hopkins University and his MFA in Performance from the University of  Nevada, Las Vegas. He currently works at several regional theatres throughout the country, continually showcasing various spectrums of theatre as much as he can. He spends the majority of his time directing and teaching with Children's Theatre of Annapolis as well as acting with The Chesapeake Shakespeare Company where he is member of their resident acting company (chesapeakeshakespeare.com). Click here to read more about CTA's Teaching Artists.
