ABOUT ABOUT

RISING STARS - Session 1 :: Ages 5-7

A Musical Theatre Production Summer Camp featuring...Mother Goose's Character Camp

It's the last night of Mother Goose's Character Camp, and our Nursery Rhymers are eager to share what they've learned. Will Miss Muffet & the Spider be able to make amends after that whole curds-and-whey incident? Did Pussycat really go to London to visit the Queen, or was she covering up an afternoon snooze? It's okay to bring farm animals to school if it makes the children laugh & play, right? Right? Maybe not. Find out from the Nursery Rhymers as they sing all about important character lessons.

Similar to Miss Tiffany's previous summer camps, they'll learn songs, lines, etc. for a musical theatre performance. Students will attend online classes taught in a group setting for one hour a day (Monday-Friday) for the duration of the camp. They will have daily activities to keep them busy after the online class. To add to the fun of this learning experience we also have a few "spirit days" mixed in.

Parents will need to record their student and submit the videos for editing purposes so that we can compile them for an online pre-recorded performance.

Your tuition includes:

  • Direction / instruction from a highly qualified artistic team
  • Production elements (script, access to digital recording or rehearsal tracks)
  • Character Development Worksheet
  • Character Design Challenge (Students design hair & a costume on a worksheet for their character.)
  • Show Poster Design Challenge
  • Online pre-recorded performance shared on CTA's YouTube channel & social media
  • And more!

Through theatre production camps students gain experience and knowledge in acting, improvisation, characterization, movement, and much more. This summer camp concludes with a final pre-recorded online performance. In production camps, teamwork is a major focus and all participants are guaranteed a role. We encourage students with all levels of experience to attend.
