TWO-DAY PRODUCTION CHALLENGE
CHALLENGE: Students will work on preparing a show-ready performance of Bad Auditions by Bad Actors* in two days.
The script has been selected. The Director has been chosen. Now it's up to our students to be performance ready in less than 14 hours of class time in this whirlwind two day workshop! Students will be put through a quick placement audition process (all students will perform in the show), memorize all lines & blocking, work on character development & scene study, costume themselves according to their character from materials supplied to them, and be show-ready (off book) for the performance for friends & family at the end of the workshop. This is a fast-paced workshop where students will be put through the paces of putting together a performance-ready production in a short period of time. Students should be intermediate - advanced level in order to be able to accomplish everything within the time allotted. This will be race against the clock to the finish. LUNCH & SNACKS: Students must bring a healthy lunch + two snacks each day. Bring a water bottle with your student's name on it.
APPEARANCE: Students are required to wear black pants or shorts, a black top (t-shirt, leotard, or tank top), and black dance shoes or sneakers secured with laces or velcro. No open-toe shoes, flip-flops, sandals, or crocs. Clothing must be appropriate for dancing/movement. Hair must be pulled back and away from the face.
* Bad Auditions by Bad Actors is a 30-minute comedy one-act by Ian McWethy.
Production Synposis: A casting director has one day to find the leads for a community theater production of Romeo and Juliet. But what seems like a simple task proves impossible when the pool of actors includes extreme method actors, performers who just don't know what to do with their hands, and one particular woman who may or may not think she's a cat. This hilarious comedy will bring you to the last place you'd ever want to be...behind the doors of a casting session.

ANNUAL REGISTRATION POLICY: All participants must pay an annual registration fee ($20 for one or more students within the same family) to participate in a workshop/camp. Valid from July 1st through June 30th annually.

CANCELLATION POLICY:
Minimum of 3 weeks prior to class: Full refund minus the membership fee.
2 weeks prior to class: Refund minus $75 administrative fee + $20 Annual Registration Fee.
First day of class or later: No refund.
