MUSICAL THEATRE DANCE WORKSHOP (ages 12-18)
Join this innovative and exciting virtual dance class! In each class students will do warm-up / cool down stretches & learn dance technique & vocabulary + a dance combination. Classes will be held via Zoom. Once you register you will be sent a link so that you may join by computer, laptop, tablet, or smart phone & participate. Put your best foot forward and have fun in the process in the educational and enjoyable class!
NOTE: Hair should be up and back off face. Students must dress appropriately for movement. Be sure to have a water bottle to stay hydrated.
AGES: 12-18
LEVEL: Beginner-Intermediate
WHEN: 5:30-6:30 p.m.; Thursdays, November 5-December 17, 2020 (6 weeks) **NO CLASS: Thursday, November 26.**
TUITION: $40.00 (Annual Registration Fee waived.)
TEACHING ARTIST: Megan Murphy received her BA in Musical Theatre from James Madison University & has also trained at HB Studios, TVI Actor’s Studio, Broadway Dance Center, plus Joy of Motion Dance Center. She has performed professionally with Equity & regional theaters, as well as many theme parks including Walt Disney World Entertainment, Busch Gardens, & Hershey Park. Performing as a singer & dancer on Norwegian and Commodore Cruise Lines, enabled her to see six out of seven continents doing what she loves to do. Megan has been a spokesmodel and cast in TV/Film spots for FAO Schwartz, Lean Cruisine, & Johnson and Johnson. The past fifteen years she has choreographed and directed for numerous elementary, middle, & high school productions; directed Pippi Longstocking (CTA) plus Beauty and the Beast (Severna Park Middle School & Calverton School), and conducts many masterclasses and workshops for children.
