BASICS OF ACTING WORKSHOP
This course introduces students to many of the fundamental skills of acting. They will learn about stage directions, blocking, scene study, script notation, character development, and more. Through creative exploration students will discover how to use their voices, faces and bodies to clearly communicate ideas to an audience.

INSTRUCTOR: José de la Mar has been an active member of the local theatre scene for many years now. He is a professional actor working on local films, commercials and industrials. Theatrically speaking, José has performed with or directed for Do or Die Productions, Spartan Lyrical Society, Bowie Community Theatre, 2nd Star Productions, Musical Artists Theatre, Merely Players, Spotlighters … just to name a few.
