THEATRE PRODUCTION WORKSHOP :: Archie of the Amazon

Wild animal thrills! Jungle adventure! Film producer Larry Livermore is desperately searching for an unknown to portray the lead in his next film, Archie of the Amazon. He’s about to give up when he learns of a wild jungle man living deep within the Amazon rainforest. With his loyal assistant, Kimberly, and a jungle guide, Borneo Joe, Larry heads to the jungle where he discovers the wild man is not only real but friendly with a mountain gorilla named Ingagi! Although the people who live in the jungle, such as animal trainer Betty Beatty, ecologist Dorothy Greener and Princess Aquacola and her hostile tribe, have all seen the wild man, they’ve never gotten close to him. Is he dangerous or just shy? To confuse matters more, explorer Osa Byrd traipses through, searching for the illusive Amazon Ghost Moth with three teenagers who won the trip on a quiz show. The finale is riveting as Aquacola plans to steam the intruders in cooking pots. Will the jungle man be able to save them? Even with vicious jaguars and coiling anaconda snakes?!

WHEN: 4:30-6:30 p.m. Thursdays, March 2 - May 11, 2017. (No class on April 13.) Final performance: May 11, 2017 at 7:00 p.m.
INSTRUCTOR: Tiffany Shannon has been studying dance & theatre for over 30 years. She has performed professionally in MD & VA by the age of 10. She has trained at Towson University, The Studio Theatre in DC, AACC, Palomar College and CA University in San Marcos. All Participants must be current members of CTA ($10 for an Individual Student or $20 for 2 or more Students within the same family). Valid from July 1st through June 30th annually.

2 weeks prior to class: Refund minus $75 registration fee and membership fee.
